Pastor John explains that people are created in the image of the relational, triune God and are therefore hardwired for authentic Christian community. Tracing the theme from creation through Jesus and the early church, he shows that Scripture consistently calls believers to gather, encourage, serve, forgive and sharpen one another rather than attempt a solitary faith. Although community requires intentionality and carries the risk of disappointment and hurt, isolation is ultimately more damaging and can prevent healing and spiritual growth.
