Welcome to Arbor Heights Community Church

A Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in West Seattle, Washington

A.B. Simpson
Founder of The Christian and Missionary Alliance

Albert Benjamin Simpson, founder of The Christian and Missionary Alliance was born December 15, 1843 in Bayview, Prince Edward Island, Canada. At an early age he felt the call of God on his life to preach and later experienced a dramatic conversion to faith in Jesus Christ.

After discovering a line in Walter Marshall’sGospel Mystery of Salvation, “The first good work you will ever perform is to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ,” Simpson committed his life to “Jesus Only”—the anthem that also ignited an unquenchable passion in his heart to reach the lost.

What's New at Arbor Heights Community Church?

Our mission team has returned from Costa Rica!  A team of 10 adults and one youth went to Costa Rica to hold a soccer camp.  They worked with a local church to set the framework for starting an AWANA program.  They also left behind the 120 Gospel message soccer balls that were specially purchased for the camp.  Of the 147 children that attended, 87 made the decision to invite Jesus Christ into their lives.  Randy Newburn will be sharing this Sunday during the service.  Check out photos of the trip on the Arbor Heights Community Church Facebook page.  Not on Facebook?  You can still take a look at www.facebook.com/ArborHeightsCommunityChurch/

We also have missionaries right here in our own backyard. As a church, we recently provided 30 dinner boxes to needy families of Arbor Elementary School for Christmas.  Each box contained items for a dinner with all the fixings, plus a few extras.  Kids are missionaries too!  Each quarter, our AWANA program has a special Service Project night. At Christmas, the Sparks class (K-2nd grade) participated in Operation Christmas Child.  Coming up next, the entire club will be collecting canned soup or (meals in a can) for their Soup-er Bowl Sports Night.  These canned items will be donated to the food bank.

We continue to update the design of our building!  Our new sign is up, and the north entryway has been re-decorated.  Coming next is the south entry way!
